ABOUT
Sasha Russey is a NYC-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, orchestrator, and arranger. Studying piano since the age of five, Sasha has developed fluency in many genres, including classical, jazz, and various contemporary and commercial styles. While a pianist at heart, Sasha is also a trumpet, euphonium, and percussion player, and over his musical career, he has performed in wind ensembles, jazz bands and combos, pit orchestras, chamber groups, and has accompanied vocalists of all sorts.
Alongside instrumental performance, Sasha is an avid composer of concert, film, and multimedia works, currently studying screen scoring at New York University. Across the span of his catalog thus far, Sasha has completed works for ensembles such as wind ensembles, jazz combos, symphony orchestras, and chamber quartets, as well as a plethora of solo and duet works.
